Soul Sis Tribe presents: You OK sis?
As black women, we carry a lot of weight. The weight of every level of family, the weight of our work, the weight of existing in this world that is often against us. Soul Sis Tribe brings you #Journahealing: the act of healing through discussion, journaling and vibing with like-minded sisters. At each session, we channel the good, bad and the same about life into a meeting of the minds, bodies and intuitions. Joi Donaldson leads the discussion on fatigue as human beings, black women and the ins and outs of everyday life. This is a sacred time and space to process tough emotions - a space where we are welcome to cry, scream, laugh, connect and release - and also work out ways to decrease the ugly. Many of us are on journeys we never expected. Due to the need to be among those who agree, "you know what girl - same", this space was created. Shanna Latia leads a flow of Yoga Nidra, a practice used for emotional release. Bring your favorite journal/notebook, a candle best suggesting your mood and a pillow for sitting.
This is a no-judgement, open-minded time and space. Crystal workers and reiki healers will also be on hand to assist with dispatching negative emotions as well as offer information on their work.
We also bring you Same & Incense, a monthly meetup for those who need to get away for a couple hours to eat, emote and release.
