Open Market has been a breath of fresh air during extraordinary times. While the weather stays crips here in DC we’re honored to bring you a selection of luminous creatives on our patio.

Machee Kelly is a proud DC native, mother, and creative entrepreneur. Her art career spans from teaching in the classroom to designing for small businesses and non-profits. Today her business, Machee Creates, specializes in artwork and gifts inspired by black women and colors that evoke joy. The brand can best be described as uplifting, colorful, and creative.

MadewithKoi is a DC-brand that makes fun, vibrant, quality knitwear and other fiber products. 

Tshering Yudon, (she/her) founder, designer, and in-house knitter started her brand as an experiment to learn about what it takes to truly make things with your hands and to do it sustainably and with heart. Tshering is involved in every step of the process, even down to designing and printing labels and tags for every individual piece. 

Every piece is meticulously worked on and created in small batches. 

As a brand, MadewithKoi aims to bring you products that inspire and brings joy.

Sarita is an artist, activist and creative arts teacher with a passion for social justice and a background in anthropology and psychology. She is always striving to create and participate in art that heals and builds community. Her paintings are often an exploration of multicultural identity, mental health, and sexuality. Sarita has exhibited in Washington DC, New York City and Mexico City. Currently, she continues to paint while pursuing a career in art therapy.

Our bath bombs bring your bathing experience to the next level! The bath bombs are not only scented, but they foam, fizz, are relaxing and fun! Our bath bombs also create amazing bubbles for the most refreshing and rejuvenating escape from reality.
