Re-Imagination in Time of Crisis
Photographic Essay By Linnan Lin, Red Spruce Productions

Open Market, inspired by the need to perpetuate a sense of community and hope during a time of isolation and fear. For the first month, Femme Fatale DC and Jícara Ancestral Remedies popped-up outside the Femme Fatale DC storefront, 401 Massachusetts Ave. NW in Mount Vernon Triangle. From June until now we have grown: welcoming neighbors and friends to enjoy and support artisans, creators, and bakers at Open Market. Entrepreneurs have showcased eclectic offerings, showing up every weekend for the past five months. We have modeled how consistency and determination can fortify a community; that we can rely on one another in strange times.
Red Spruce Productions owned by Linnan Lin, co-owner of Jícara Ancestral Remedies, has documented the energetic growth of Open Market at Femme Fatale DC each week. We are welcomed into her specific lens in her photographic essay: Re-Imagination in Time of Crisis
