Join the DC Chess Association, the official representatives of U.S. Chess for the District of Columbia for a night of chess.

Chess is a game that can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone, but can feel intimidating to new players. On top of that over 80% of tournament players identify as men, which can create a whole extra barrier. This event aims to overcome that and create a safer space to let people experience the game.

A short chess demonstration showing the rules of the game will happen at 6:45pm (10-15 minutes). No worries if you are planning on coming later - experienced players will be available to help!
